Can I change A User Profile?

Posted on 09:32 by Unknown
The Problem:-After having my hard drive reformatted, the technician entered the wrong name > in the user profile. Windows won't allow me to change it because it "is a > system file and is required for windows to run properly". How do I change it?

Solution:-
The user profile folders (C:\Documents and Settings\Username) cannot be renamed, log on using the built-in Administrator account, create a new user account, with the username desired. You can then delete the old user account(s) and associated files.[ Right-click My Computer > Properties > Advanced > User Profiles Delete the profiles bearing your name]
